Our company Akshay Incorporation was established in 1999. We are specialized in
the production of various high-professional anti rust and anti-mold packaging solutions.
The company has become a leader in the field of anti corrosion & anti-microbial/fungal
packaging materials.
In the later years we received many inquiries from Leather Industry to make something
like Anti Rust film to avoid any fungal growth on leather. With our vast expertise
in R & D we prepared the first and fully indigenized Anti Mold Sticker and PE sheet
and was launched with the brand name “Bio-Pak Active Packaging
System ’’
One of the first companies to offer anti-microbial/fungal packaging materials has
developed into a major player helping customers in their battle against mold growth
during storage and transportation.
According to Bio-Pak, the technology behind its products is unique and relies on
completely different ingredients and release mechanisms than any of its competitor’s
offerings. One of the main USP of the company’s technology is claimed to be that
its products are moisture activated, so they do not start working until the relative
humidity reaches a certain pre-set trigger level. This is marketed as an important
characteristic, as the anti-microbial/fungal product begins to work when it is needed,
rather than as soon as the package is opened.
Our products do not contain cobalt, DMF or halogen elements. We comply with European
ROHS, REACH Standard.
“Quality, Safety and Customer Satisfaction” is our management concept. We constantly
upgrade the product quality and achieve the recognition and supports from customers.
Our products sell well all across the Globe and are well appreciated by their purchasers.
With our rich experience and advanced technique, we insure that we can provide the
best products, the lowest cost, the best services and the fastest delivery to meet
your needs.

BIO-PAK Versus SILICA GEL
How do Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers work?
Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers are placed in the box at the time of final packing.
When humidity is high the moisture in the air enters the sticker and initiates a
reaction that creates a Bio-Pak atmosphere environment. This Bio-Pak atmosphere
environment spreads throughout the package helping to keep the item clean and fresh.
How are Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers different from silica
gel?
Silica gel is derived from sand and ONLY absorbs moisture. If not enough is used
then there is still moisture present and if the sachets are not kept perfectly dry
before use they will be ineffective when packed with the shoes. There is also a
clear health danger if the silica gel is ingested by workers or consumers.
Beware of silica sachets that also contain toxic substances! Bio-Pak Active Packaging
Stickers will absorb moisture and help keep the item clean and fresh. Bio-Pak Active
Packaging Stickers are delivered in foil sealed pouches and will not be exposed
to the air until they are used.
How do I use Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers?
Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers are easy to use. Simply follow these steps:
a) Open the foil package, remove the Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers.
b) At time of final packing tear off one or more pieces of Bio-Pak Active Packaging
Stickers and stick them on the inside of the box base for best results.
c) The box should be closed immediately after putting the stickers on the box base
and not reopened.
d) Any unfinished rolls of Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers should be placed back
in the foil package and closed with tape for use within the next day.
Please also see Instructions For Use.
How many Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers should I use?
The number of Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers to be used depends on the size of
the box and the humidity level. In most cases one piece of Bio-Pak Stickers will
be sufficient. Please refer to the "Recommended Use of Bio-Pak Active Packaging
Stickers" for further details.
Can I use Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers for all packing and
materials?
For poly bag packed items or articles with genuine lamb’s wool, rabbit or other
natural furs you should use Bio-Pak PE Sheets instead of stickers.
Is there anything else I need to do to keep items clean and fresh? Keeping items
clean and fresh involves a number of steps and to avoid claims we recommend that
factories take certain measures including the following:
a) All materials must be stored properly and in dry conditions.
b) Factories should be kept clean.
c) Wet shoes or boxes should not be packed.
d) Avoid storing goods for long periods especially during the rainy season.
e) Shoes that have been stored in the factory warehouse should be checked again
prior to shipment.
f) Factory warehouses should be dry with good ventilation.
How long can I keep Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers?
The storage of foil bag in un-opened condition can be up to one year. Once the bag
is opened the stickers should be used as quickly as possible. Any unfinished quantities
should be placed back in the bag and used ideally within the next day.
How should Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers be stored??
Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers should be stored in dry conditions and out of
direct sunlight.
How long will Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers work?
Bio-Pak Stickers will reduce humidity continually for extended periods depending
on moisture levels.
If we store the shoes for long periods (for example 1 -2 months)
before shipping will the BioPak Active Packaging Stickers still work?
The Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers will still work but the effectiveness will
be reduced depending on how long you store the shoes and how high is the humidity.
If we have to reopen all of the shoes for some reason do we need
to change the Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers?
When you reopen the box you are letting the Bio-Pak atmosphere environment escape
and may be letting in more moist air. Since you have compromised the atmosphere
it would be best to replace the sticker.
If we find mold on the shoes and then use Bio-Pak Active Packaging
Stickers will the mold disappear?
Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers cannot make mold on shoes disappear.
Our factory uses a chemical spray at the end of the production
line and now we have very few problem, so why should we change?
Many of these chemical sprays are unsafe for workers, consumers and the environment.
They were not intended for use on finished products and use of these sprays in this
manner may be in violation of the International Labor Organization, U.S. Federal
law and European regulation. Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers are effective and
when used properly are safe for workers, consumers and the environment.
How do I order Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers?
Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers can be ordered from Akshay Incorporation, India
or via our authorized distributors.
Are Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers safe?
Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers are made of ECHA,EPA, FDA listed food grade quality
components in a recyclable low density polyethylene base making Bio-Pak Active Packaging
Stickers safe for workers, consumers and the environment when used according to
our instructions.
If I use Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers do you guarantee that
I will not have a moisture related problem when our shoes are delivered to our customers?
As the final use of the Bio-Pak Active Packaging Stickers is in the hands of the
factory and we cannot control how they are used or the condition of the shoes when
packed, we cannot guarantee that you will not have a moisture related problem. In
case you do face any moisture related problems please contact our Technical Services
Department for assistance.
Your products are made from petrochemicals. How can you call
them environmentally friendly?
We don't. What we do say is that our products use our natural resources much more
efficiently than silica gel desiccants, so our environmental footprint is significantly
lower in terms of both manufacturing and transportation. And we are working to develop
better alternatives to the raw materials we currently use, which will improve our
performance even further.
What happens at the end of life?
All Bio-Pak products are recyclable. Our sheets are often removed by the retail
outlet and recycled with other packaging materials. Stickers will often remain in
the footwear box all the way through to the end consumer. In both cases, we are
working to improve awareness to maximize the recycling rates for our products.
Let's say Bio-Pak products don't get recycled but instead end
up in the waste stream that is sent to a landfill. In that case, isn't silica gel
better for the environment than LDPE?
Generally Bio-Pak products are still a better environmental alternative. Silica
gel is often enclosed in sachets made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), polypropylene
or polyester, which are all petrochemical products. In these cases, the environmental
impacts of the sachet itself are pretty similar to those of Bio-Pak products. And
considering that silica gel packets are significantly heavier than Bio-Pak products,
the fuel use and CO2 emissions from transporting to a landfill are much greater
for silica gel.
All of your talk is about comparing your products to silica gel.
What about other products?
Our analysis is focused on silica gel because it is the most common alternative.
There are other alternatives such as clay desiccants, and anti-mold chips that use
chemical or "natural" ingredients to address mold growth. These products have their
own environmental issues. Clay desiccants are heavy, and will have transportation
impacts in terms of CO2 emissions and fuel usage that are similar to silica gel.
Other alternatives in the form of stickers or chips raise product safety concerns.
And they are generally manufactured into various forms of plastic, which may not
be recyclable.
